Have you always wanted to sketch but don’t think that you can?
Would you like to explore and really “see” the real south of France? Do you already paint or draw but would like to adopt a more relaxed approach? Come to Maison Quarante and join an sketching holiday! These experiences are great fun - you will go home with a new approach to drawing and a sketchbook full of wonderful memories. “Anyone can sketch!” Unlike traditional art classes in drawing, illustrating, or painting, this is a simple and quick way to capture an impression of what you see. There is no right or wrong. Like so many things, the simpler the better! Too much of today’s life is about reasoning and logic, so this sketching experience helps you get in touch with your creative side, to see the world differently. You may find it helps you feel more confident in all aspects of your life. Sketch holidays are ideal for beginners or those already sketching. A special sketch kit is required and materials are available on loan or to purchase if you do not have your own. Sample short-break itinerary (approximately 5hrs tuition per day): After breakfast at Maison Quarante you will visit a city, town or village for sketching. We’ll have a coffee and lunch will be at one of our favourite local restaurants chosen for good food and good value. We might continue sketching there too, if the mood takes us! In the afternoon you can continue sight-seeing, sketching on your own, or return to the B&B to relax. The evening is yours to enjoy.
